International Center for Peaceful Shared Custody launches new web site, now taking online payments for donations and book sales

We'd like to welcome the International Center for Peaceful Shared Custody to our family of good causes. The International Center for Peaceful Shared Custody is a parent driven non-profit organization dedicated to protecting children from the harmful affects of a child custody battle. Using a “parents helping parents” model, the Center provides a range of free tools designed to connect families who are “struggling” through a difficult separation or divorce with the tools, strategies, professionals, and programs being used by families who are “thriving” in spite of their breakup.

We'd like to welcome Hudson River Sloop Clearwater to our family of good causes. Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, founded in 1969, works to preserve and protect the Hudson River, while creating the next generation of environmental leaders. They recently launched the Next Generation Legacy Project, an ambitious environmental education initiative that will introduce thousands of school-age children and young adults to the Hudson River and its watershed through innovative, hands-on learning programs that provide a continuum of experiences from elementary school right through college.

FAQ - What is a merchant account and why do we need one?

A merchant account is an account at an acquiring Bank and is used to fund you for your credit card transactions. You need a merchant account in order to accept and process credit card transactions, have those funds deposited directly into your bank account and have your organization's name on the donor's credit card statement. In order to use 4aGoodCause, you'll need to set up an internet merchant account as well as a payment gateway with one of the providers we support.
