B'Fly Girls using 4aGoodCause for online donations and event ticket sales

We'd like to welcome B'Fly Girls, Inc. to our family of good causes. Founded in 2005, B'Fly Girls, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing group mentoring to young girls in metro Atlanta. Bi-monthly meetings are held in the school-setting and mentors are college young adult women and professional adult women. B'Fly Girls is using 4aGoodCause to accept online donations and event ticket sales. Martin County Community Foundation raises $296,700 for 74 Martin County non-profit organizations

In my last post I indicated would update on how Martin County Community Foundation did with Giving Day, its unique, one-day, online fundraising event. I am excited to report they raised $296,700 for 74 Martin County non-profit organizations. This includes $196,700 in online donations and $100,000 matched from a special pool of donors. This is a new one-day online fundraising record for a 4aGoodCause client.

Kudos to Bridget Baratta, Julia Mathes and the great team at Martin County Community Foundation for pulling together this successful event. Giving Day is a model for other community foundations across the US to consider.

Today is Giving Day - Help nonprofits in Martin County, Florida with an online donation

Martin County Community Foundation (MCCF) is the newest member of our family of good causes. Today is big day for them. Today is Giving Day, an annual online fundraising event that raises money for over 70 nonprofits in Martin County, Florida. As online donations roll in, the donation amounts will be matched by a very generous group of donors. The MCCF board of directors and supporters like the Frances Langford Foundation and the Shirley Foundation have created a pool of $100,000 to be used as matching funds. This is a creative and unique way to raise money online: bringing all the nonprofits a community foundation support together online, integrating a pool of matching donors and building it into an important annual event. We'll let you know how it goes. 

The online donation system we built for them is a good example of the customized donation pages we offer. MCCF needed to allow donors the ability to split their donation between muliple charities. They needed to offer multiple payment options. It also needs to be robust enough to handle the traffic of course.

It's 4aGoodcause's Birthday - 12 years helping nonprofits and others build successful web sites

Twelve years ago today I formed a small Web design company called OpenConsult, now known as 4aGoodCause. I borrowed $5000 from my father to jump start a plan of building web sites for small businesses. Thanks to him for that launch. Since that day we've built hundreds of successful Web sites and Web applications for corporations all over the world, and have made a wonderful niche for ourselves in the nonprofit and educational market helping those organizations raise money online. It has been an amazing journey and I'm proud to say we're still going after all these years. Thanks to all the people and companies that we've worked with. Our success is built on your shoulders.
