4aGoodcause teams with Dharma Merchant Services to provide merchant accounts to nonprofits

In order to use the online payment services of 4aGoodCause, nonprofits need to set up an Internet merchant account. An Internet merchant account is an account at an acquiring bank that is used to fund an organization for its online credit card transactions. You need a merchant account in order to accept and process credit card transactions, have those funds deposited directly into your bank account and have your organization's name appear on the donor's credit card statement.

We have always referred nonprofits to a partner organization to set up merchant accounts. We've worked with many merchant account providers over the years. Some turned out good, some not so good, some down right horrendous. We had never found that one great company we wanted to partner with long-term. I'm so happy now that we've found Dharma Merchant Services. We've been using them for most of 2010 and the experience has been absolutely wonderful. They are providing our clients with great rates and, most importantly, great customer service.

We decided to partner with Dharma Merchant Services because they have a strong commitment to the nonprofit community (10% give-back program), great rates for nonprofits (schools are included) and a complaint-free record with the Better Business Bureau. We are certainly happy with that decision.
