Martin County Community Foundation (MCCF) is the newest member of our family of good causes. Today is big day for them. Today is
Giving Day, an annual online fundraising event that raises money for over 70 nonprofits in Martin County, Florida. As online donations roll in, the donation amounts will be matched by a very generous group of donors. The MCCF board of directors and supporters like the Frances Langford Foundation and the Shirley Foundation have created a pool of $100,000 to be used as matching funds. This is a creative and unique way to raise money online: bringing all the nonprofits a community foundation support together online, integrating a pool of matching donors and building it into an important annual event. We'll let you know how it goes.
The
online donation system we built for them is a good example of the customized donation pages we offer. MCCF needed to allow donors the ability to split their donation between muliple charities. They needed to offer multiple payment options. It also needs to be robust enough to handle the traffic of course.
